During the troublesome events during the independence of the Belgian Congo in 1960, a Piper PA22 Caribbean 150 was used as a liaison aircraft in East Congo.
This unique aircraft was used by the Light Aviation of Belgian Army.
Its use was relatively short as it was written-off in an accident in april 1961.
