  • 060973: Short after take-off from Souda Bay (Crete), BA32, BA38 and a third aircraft got into bad weather and the aircrews decided to return to Souda. A short time after this 2 of the aircraft crashed into Mount Kaloros, in the Lefka Ori area, within 1 minute of each other. The 3rd aircraft safely landed at Souda Bay. Pilot Adj.vl.Jo Van Avermaet was unfortunately killed in this crash.

  • 000085: during a squadron exchange with a Portuguese A7P squadron, the aircraft cut some powerlines, causing several local powerplants to be out of service for several days. The aircraft needed serious structural reparations. A number of options were investigated, repair on site (very expensive), transport by C130 (very expensive), but ADC Stockman decided the plane was flyable but with restrictions. The wing external fuel tanks were replaced by one centerline tank and the plane was ferried by Cdt.vl.Duvivier to Bierset, at low speed and altitude, with the landinggear down and with several fuel stops on the way
