  • 070888: During the annual Sanicole Airshow near Hechtel, the aircraft suffered an engine flame-out during a demoflight, the pilot pulled away from the crowd and subsequently the aircraft got into a flat spin and crashed. The pilot,Cdt.vl.Michel 'Duv' Duvivier, ejected but was too low and was killed. (3 Wing - 1 Squadron)

  • 191176: During a low altitude trainingflight with low clouds the pilot got disorientaded and lost control over the aicraft, which crashed in the town of Philippeville. The pilot, O.Lt.vl.Daniel Briel, managed to eject from his aircraft in time. Unfortunately a 70 year old woman on the ground was killed. (2 Wing - 2 Squadron)

  • 010681: During take-off from Kleine Brogel the aircraft suffered a burst tire and hit a concrete block of the emergency brake wire, the aicraft then burst into flames. The pilot, O.Lt.vl.Alain Denis (see also BA61) managed to escape from the aircraft, but suffered severe burninjuries. The damaged to the aircraft was as such that it was declared a write-off. In the period may/june81 8 Squadron was temporarily deployed to Kleine Brogel, because of runway repairs at Bierset. (3 Wing - 8 Squadron)

In the busy airspace east of Liège the Mirage collided with Morane-Saulnier MS880B OO-NSD that had just taken off from Kiewit airfield near Hasselt. The Miragepilot, Kapt.vl.Philippe Delferrière, managed to save himself with his ejection seat, but the 3 occupants of the Morane were all killed. The Mirage crashed near Visé. (2 Wing - 2 Squadron)

The taxitrack remained blocked for a long time, because the crane that was supposed to come Brustem didn't show up. In Brustem they thought it was an Aprils-fools joke. After a phonecall to Brustem from the Staff, the seriousness of the case became clear... Pilot: Kapt.vl.Danny "Ziz" Zizzari.
