In June 1972 the Belgian government decided to purchase two business jets with the money that was saved after the purchase of the Lockheed C130H Hercules (due to the devaluation of the dollar). In September 1972 an order was placed for two Dassault Mystère 20E (now Falcon). In 2004 both aircraft were transferred to Le Bourget (Paris) where they underwent a complete avionics update and more environmental engines were fitted.

CM01 c/n 276 ex F-WNGL (testregistration)
  • 260373: delivered to 15 Wing - 21 Squadron
  • 120196: damaged after a belly landing at Gosselies, due to landing gear failure
  • 300596: returned to 21 Squadron from Dassault-Le Bourget after repairs
  • 010604: first noted Le Bourget for modernisation
  • 310105: first testflight at Le Bourget after modernisation
  • 150205: acceptance testflight at Melsbroek
  • 000506: first noted with Belgian flag removed and replaced by Belgian Defence logo
  • 220109: Suffered landing incident at Antwerp Deurne airport.
  • 000009: active with Liaison & Long Haul Flight (LLHF)
