Breguet 694This is a featured page

The Breguet 690 was modified on request of the Belgian authorities.
In 1939 a total of 32 aircraft were ordered to replace the obsolete reconnaissance Foxes of II/3, of which 31 aircraft were to be built by Sabca for delivery from late 1940 into 1941.
The prototype (Bre.694.01) made its first flight on 20 January 1940 at Villacoublay (FR).
Only 1 aircraft was delivered to the Belgians in France.
Many sources state that the Bre.694 was delivered to the (French) Aéronavale on 1 June 1940. This is probably copied from William Green's Bombers and reconnaissance aircraft of WWII (1967).
