Early 1911 Baron de Caters offered his aircraft, an Aviator (type 1911/license H. Farman 1910) to King Albert who transferred it to the Compagnie des Ouvriers et Aérostiers. Unfortunately the 50 horsepower Argus engine had a tendency to overheat after only five minutes of operation, which limited the first flights to very short capers around the field.
