Airbus A310-222
Since many years the Belgian Air Force operated two Boeing 727 airliners for mid-range transport of personnel and freight. Due to the ever growing demand for the use of Belgian troops on missions abroad the need arose for a large longer legged airliner. As budget restrictions did not permit the acquisition of new machines two second hand Airbus A310-222 aircraft were obtained from Singapore Airlines. Both transporters are based at Melsbroek airbase near Brussels and form part of the 15th Transport Wing.

Hi! Interesting to know that Singapore sold two A310s to the Belgian Air Force. I am currently doing my own reasearch on the history of SIA (Singapore International Airlines) as im interested in aviation (father is chief of air traffic of Seletar airport Singapore).
